Privacy Policy

Power Preflight (a Cynosure LLC project) collects almost nothing, and this page says exactly what "almost" means.
The short version
This is a static website. At launch it sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, and has no accounts, comments, or forms that submit anywhere. Every calculator runs entirely in your browser — the numbers you type are never sent to us.
What we collect at launch
Nothing directly. There is no first-party data collection on this site today: no cookies, no analytics, no fingerprinting, no advertising pixels. If we ever add privacy-respecting analytics, we will update this policy first and note the change below.
Email addresses
The site includes a signup block for our free Emergency Power Planning Checklist. Until an email provider is connected, that form is visibly disabled and collects nothing — the page says so honestly rather than pretending to subscribe you.
Once it is connected, submitting the form will send us exactly one thing: the email address you type. We would use it only to deliver the checklist and related planning content, never sell or share it, and every email would include an unsubscribe link. We will name the email provider here when one is chosen.
Server logs
Like nearly every website, the hosting provider that serves these pages keeps standard server logs, which typically include IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use such logs, if at all, only for security and to keep the site running. They are governed by the hosting provider's own retention practices.
Affiliate links and other websites
Some links on this site may be affiliate links (see our Affiliate Disclosure). Nothing extra happens on our site when you click one — but the merchant site you land on will typically set its own cookies to attribute the referral, and its privacy policy, not ours, governs what happens there. The same is true of any external site we link to.
Children
This site is a planning tool for buying power equipment and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change — for example, connecting the email form or adding analytics — we will update this page and change the effective date at the top before the new practice takes effect. Material changes will be summarized here in plain language rather than buried in rewording.
