Corrections Policy & Log

Report the exact page and evidence. Safety-relevant errors are triaged first, and material changes get a dated before-and-after record.

Report an error

Email hello@powerpreflight.com with the page URL, the statement or result you believe is wrong, and the strongest source you have. A screenshot or quoted sentence helps us locate changing manufacturer pages, but a primary source is more useful than a copied claim.

How reports are handled

  1. Triage. Anything that could affect medical continuity, electrical safety, fire/CO risk, food safety, surge compatibility, or emergency planning moves first.
  2. Reproduce. For a calculation, we preserve the inputs and reproduce the current output before changing it.
  3. Verify. We compare the report with current primary evidence and retain uncertainty when sources conflict or do not cover the exact case.
  4. Correct. We update the affected source, formula, copy, structured data, download, and linked pages together where required.
  5. Disclose. A material correction receives a dated record below with the page, what readers saw, what changed, and the evidence used.

Material correction or routine update?

A correction is material when it could change a sizing result, safety boundary, evidence status, compatibility gate, product inclusion, or a reader's substantive decision. Routine upkeep includes a destination URL, display price, source check date, formatting, spelling, or clarification that does not change the conclusion. We do not hide a material correction inside a generic “updated” label.

Correction log

Log boundary: this log begins with the first production release of policy version 1.0. It does not claim that no edits or corrections happened before the policy existed.

No material correction entries are recorded in this policy version. A valid future entry must identify the affected URL, correction date, before-and-after summary, and supporting source or sources.

Review claims after a correction

Independent expert review, if added in the future, applies only to the exact reviewed revision. A material correction reopens that status until the named reviewer evaluates the changed scope again.
